Apple has teamed up with Nike to create a personal coach via technology. The iPod Sport Kit was created so that you can monitor time, pace, distance and calaries burned while walking or running. Included in the kit is a wireless sensor that can be inserted into your Nike+ shoe and a receiver that connects to your iPod nano. You can also transfer the information from your iPod nano to the computer that can collect the information and can compare it to past performances, set your own goals and challenge runners to a virtual race. The kit including receiver, wireless sensor and printed documentation, costs roughly $39. Nike+ shoes and iPod nano are sold separately.
